Dar răutatea lumii adesea se-ntoarce
Și învăluie orice fel de credință

Moș Crăciun mâna către stea întinse
Sedus de cuvintele celui rău
Clipi o dată și steaua ușor o atinse
Se văzu deodată alunecând în hău
Acesta e hăul cel mare, numit și Abis
Râse și se uită la el, Moș Gheară
– De-acum ai să fii pe veci închis
Nimeni în ajutor n-o să-ți sară
Este timpul să îmi preiau puterea
Zise Moș Gheară și-apoi dispăru
Lăsând în locu’i tăcerea
