Morning Without Weight
By Al Konda
I woke before the light had fully come,
The room still holding traces of the night;
No thought was waiting, no demand begun,
Just quiet air, and something almost right.
The floor was cool. The window held its place.
A distant sound passed through and did not stay.
I did not reach to name it or give chase—
It came, and in its coming, slipped away.
Nothing was asked. Nothing had to be.
The day stood open, simple as it was.
And for a moment, it was enough for me
To be there first—without a need or cause.
Before anything begins
There are mornings that arrive without pressure.
Not because the world has changed.
Not because anything has been resolved.
But because, for a moment, nothing is asking.
You wake before the day has fully formed.
Before thoughts gather.
Before anything needs to be done.
The room still holds the night in it.
The air is quiet in a way that doesn’t need to be kept.
Nothing moves toward you.
Nothing waits.
And in that space, something becomes clear—not as an idea, but as a feeling you don’t need to hold:
There is a way of being that doesn’t begin with demand.
A way of entering the day without carrying it.
It doesn’t last.
It doesn’t need to.
Because it doesn’t leave anything behind.
It simply… is.
And for a moment, that is enough.

The Mythical Poet (Al Konda) is a Romanian-English poet whose work unites form and fire. He writes in rhyme and symbolism, insisting that poetry must sing, speak, structure, symbolize, strike, and bring joy—the pillars of The Konda Principle, his philosophy of the art. Across 40+ books and countless performances, Al has cultivated a living, multimedia poetry: each poem arrives with a literary analysis, an essay for readers, a song or duet, and visual art bearing his sigil.
His mythic epic The Seer – Deluxe Edition rekindles the ancient vocation of the poet as seer; A Name I Never Spoke and Flame Without Shadow explore love, devotion, and inner transformation; ongoing daily releases blend classical poetics with modern production—YouTube premieres, blog essays, and social dialogues that invite audiences to sing the poem.
Al’s stance is clear: craft is not a cage but a sanctuary; beauty is not a costume but a covenant. In an age of noise and spectacle, The Mythical Poet offers disciplined music, moral clarity, and the courage to turn sorrow into song.
