The Mythical Poet (Al Konda) is a Romanian-English poet whose work unites form and fire. He writes in rhyme and symbolism, insisting that poetry must sing, speak, structure, symbolize, strike, and bring joy—the pillars of The Konda Principle, his philosophy of the art. Across 40+ books and countless performances, Al has cultivated a living, multimedia poetry: each poem arrives with a literary analysis, an essay for readers, a song or duet, and visual art bearing his sigil.
His mythic epic The Seer – Deluxe Edition rekindles the ancient vocation of the poet as seer; A Name I Never Spoke and Flame Without Shadow explore love, devotion, and inner transformation; ongoing daily releases blend classical poetics with modern production—YouTube premieres, blog essays, and social dialogues that invite audiences to sing the poem.
Al’s stance is clear: craft is not a cage but a sanctuary; beauty is not a costume but a covenant. In an age of noise and spectacle, The Mythical Poet offers disciplined music, moral clarity, and the courage to turn sorrow into song.

Rahella – A Love Worth Laboring For

iunie 11, 2025 By Al Konda

💫 Not all fires destroy. Some warm us. Some guide us home.

Today’s piece from Rising from Ashes – A Journey Through Pain to Redemption is a love poem — a sacred vow set to verse. “Rahella – A Love Worth Laboring For” is not merely a song of devotion. It is a spiritual embrace, an ode to a love that transforms suffering into salvation.

📜 Poem: RAHELLA

In whispered winds that kiss the dawn,
Your name becomes my sacred prayer,
Rahella, light when hope seems gone,
You breathe new life into the air.

I love you with a depth unknown,
In you, my wandering heart finds home.
Like rivers carve through ancient stone,
Your presence shapes my very soul,

Rahella, you have gently sown
Seeds of grace that make me whole.
Through seasons of both joy and strife,
You are the melody of my life.

When darkness wraps the world in doubt,
And shadows dance with cold despair,
Your love becomes the flame throughout
That lights the path we’re meant to share.

Rahella, in your eyes I see
The person I was born to be.
Time may weather mountain peaks,
And oceans claim the shifting shore,

But what my faithful heart now speaks
Will echo long forevermore:
That love like ours transcends all years,
Beyond our laughter, past our tears.

In every star that lights the night,
In every flower’s sweet perfume,
In morning’s gentle, golden light,
In quiet moments in our room,

I find you there, my dearest one,
Two hearts now beating as just one.
So take these words I freely give,
Let them rest within your heart,

Rahella, as long as I shall live,
Nothing shall tear our love apart.
For in this truth I’ll always dwell:
I love you, my beloved Rahella.

💌 Reflection:

Rahella — echoing the biblical Rachel — becomes a symbol for love that endures not because it’s easy, but because it’s worth it. This poem honors every soul who chooses love as a daily act of reverence. It’s a testimony that even in a world of pain, love still lifts, shapes, and sings us whole.

🎵 Reggae Adaptation:

Let the rhythm carry the prayer.

🔥 Ashes on My Skin – Singing Through Scars

iunie 6, 2025 By Al Konda

By Al Konda

From the upcoming book: Rising from Ashes – A Journey Through Pain to Redemption

Some scars don’t scream—they sing.

They hum low, like distant drums in the soul, echoing pain we tried to bury. Ashes on My Skin is a song for the scarred—for the firewalkers who came through the blaze not untouched, but undefeated.

This poem was born out of reckoning. I looked at my past—charred bridges, smoldering choices—and instead of turning away, I touched the ash. It didn’t kill me. It told me I was still here.

I imagined this piece with a reggae heartbeat because I wanted something deeper than sorrow. I wanted movement. Something that could carry pain on its back and sway with it under a healing sun. Reggae gives grief a rhythm. It lets sorrow dance its way into freedom.

“Ashes on my skin—yeah, they tell the tale,

Of bridges burned and winds gone stale.”

These lines open the song with honesty. They say: I’ve made mistakes. But they also say: I’m not afraid to face them anymore. There’s something sacred in that kind of strength—not shiny or triumphant, but earned in the dark, carved into the body like truth.

As the poem flows, it moves through silence, scars, trembling hands—and then, the climb. The quiet strength. The phoenix without glitter, but with gravity. A being who knows what it costs to rise.

This is not a song of perfection.

This is a song of survival.

And it belongs to anyone who ever tried to build a life from ashes.

Thank you for listening.

Thank you for dancing with me in the flame.

A Phoenix Rises – A Resurrection That Soars

iunie 5, 2025 By Al Konda

This expanded blog post is powerful, visceral, and rhythmically alive, Al — it blends poetry, movement, music, and identity into one seamless rising flame. Here’s a lightly polished and formatted WordPress-ready version, keeping your voice intact while optimizing for readability and engagement:

A Phoenix Rises – A Resurrection That Soars

When sorrow wraps your soul in shadows, when each breath feels like clawing through heavy, unrelenting mud, what lifts you back to life?

A Phoenix Rises doesn’t just whisper an answer — it sings it, dances it, blazes like a fire you can’t ignore. This poem, pulsing with the raw, rebellious heartbeat of reggae, doesn’t shy away from the dark. It grabs you by the heart and pulls you through it, skanking under a starlit Jamaican sky.

It starts where we all falter: in the weight of grief, where every step is a battle, where tears threaten to drown hope. But the speaker, like a wise Rasta elder, refuses to let you sink. They call you to move — to cry rivers that carve new paths, to scrawl your pain onto fragile pages, to scream into the void until the silence cracks open with possibility.

Each act is a sacred rebellion, a ceremony of release. Your body, once a cage of anguish, becomes a vessel of freedom, swaying to a reggae riddim that shakes the heavens. Picture a lone dancer in a sunlit shack, dreadlocks flying, skanking with holy abandon — that’s the poem’s invitation: to rise, to give yourself more than survival, to exceed even your own expectations.

🔥 Each stanza is a spark of hard-earned truth:

  • Healing is a spiral, a wild dance of chaos and calm.

  • Movement is medicine, whether it’s the frenetic spin of a body breaking free or the slow, grounding sip of tea that tames a trembling spirit.

  • You’re not just enduring — you’re the hero of your own anthem, the blazing star of a story you write with every defiant step.

The imagery weaves a journey from despair to divinity: from a “weary soul” trudging through mire to a “flicker of hope” piercing the night — until you stand as a phoenix, wings of fire unfurled, not just rising… but choosing to soar higher than anyone dreamed.

💫 In A Phoenix Rises, I see a map for every heart that’s ever ached:

  • Reclaim joy from sorrow by dancing through tears, letting laughter ignite in the ashes of pain.

  • Seize agency in pain by wielding pen, voice, or feet to defy despair’s grip, giving more than it takes.

  • Transform suffering into strength, forging a fiercer self with every battle — surpassing what you thought possible.

This isn’t just a poem. It’s a prayer, a practice, a resurrection that burns with reggae’s unyielding hope. It’s the spark of a phoenix’s wings. The sway of Rasta colors in a Kingston breeze. The moment you realize:
you’re unbreakable.

I poured this fire into two reggae songs:
🎵 One, a soulful roots reggae hymn, swaying with the poem’s quiet, steadfast hope.
🔥 The other, a dancehall inferno, erupting with its triumphant, electric rise.

Their music videos — alive with Rasta dancers, neon-lit streets, and phoenix flames — bring the poem’s rhythm to vivid life.

Breaking Down Walls – A Poem of Rebuilding Through Self-Love

iunie 1, 2025 By Al Konda

Breaking Down Walls: A Journey to Self-Love and Liberation

What happens when we stop fighting against ourselves and start fighting for ourselves? When we trade self-doubt for self-compassion, isolation for connection, and silence for song? The answer lies in a quiet but powerful truth: Before you can be free in the world, you must first be free within.

Today, I’m sharing “Breaking Down Walls,” a poem, a song, and a video born from this truth. It’s a piece that speaks to the silent struggles we carry—those moments when we’ve built emotional fortresses not to keep the world out, but to shield our wounded selves inside. It’s for anyone who’s ever felt trapped behind their own walls, yearning to break free. But more than that, it’s a celebration of the courage it takes to tear those walls down and rise anew in self-love.

🔒 The Fortress We Build

The poem begins with a stark image: “When you don’t love yourself, walls rise so high / A fortress of shadows where light dares not pry.” These words capture the quiet pain of self-neglect, where we lose ourselves in a “hollow embrace” of isolation. It’s a place many of us know too well—a space where bitterness festers, where the world outside fades, and where we become prisoners of our own fears and doubts.

These walls aren’t made of stone; they’re built from moments of self-criticism, from wounds we’ve left untended, and from the belief that we’re not enough. We erect them to feel safe, but over time, they become a cage. The poem doesn’t shy away from this truth, but it also doesn’t leave us there. It offers hope—a path forward.

🛤️ The Journey to Self-Love

“But when you find the courage to embrace your soul / To see beyond the cracks, to mend what’s whole…” These lines mark the turning point, where the journey inward begins. Self-love isn’t a destination you arrive at overnight; it’s a pilgrimage. It’s about facing the cracks in your spirit—not to hide them, but to see them as part of what makes you whole. It’s about choosing to rise from the ashes, “strong and true,” and seeing yourself clearly in “self-love’s mirror.”

This journey isn’t easy. As the poem reminds us, “The journey inward isn’t easy or free / It’s a path of healing, a balm for the weary.” It requires courage to confront the shadows within, to forgive yourself for the times you’ve been unkind to your own heart. But with each step, something beautiful happens: “Your spirit ascends / A symphony of strength where life’s melody bends.” You begin to rediscover your worth, your voice, your place in the world.

🎶 A Song of Reclamation

“Breaking Down Walls” is more than a poem—it’s a melody, a movement, and a mirror for anyone ready to reclaim themselves. It’s part of my daily series, Rising from Ashes: A Journey Through Pain to Redemption, where each piece invites you to reflect, heal, and grow. This poem, in particular, is a call to action: to stop hiding, to start healing, and to embrace the freedom that comes with knowing “you are enough.”

To bring this poem to life, I’ve created a karaoke-style video with the verses displayed on screen. Whether you read it silently, speak it aloud, or sing it with your whole heart, let this be your song of reclamation. Let it remind you that your story isn’t over—that you have the power to rewrite it, verse by verse.

🕊️ Why This Matters

In a world that often demands perfection, self-love is an act of rebellion. It’s choosing to live by your own rules, as the poem says, and finding peace in “life’s library, [where] you have your own shelf.” It’s about recognizing that your freedom isn’t a chance occurrence—it’s a victory you claim by knowing your mind, honoring your heart, and treating yourself with kindness.

For those who’ve felt lost in their own silence, this poem is a reminder: You are not alone. The walls you’ve built can come down, one brave step at a time. And when they do, you’ll find what the poem calls “a world reborn”—a life where love, belonging, and peace are yours to keep.

🌟 How to Engage with “Breaking Down Walls”

I invite you to experience this poem in whatever way feels right for you:

  • Read it: Let the words sink in. Reflect on the walls you’ve built and the steps you can take to dismantle them.
  • Speak it: Say the verses out loud. Let your voice carry the weight of your journey and the hope of your rising.
  • Sing it: Watch the karaoke-style video and let the poem become your anthem. Sing it for yourself, for the you that’s ready to heal.
  • Share it: If this resonates, share the poem or video with someone who might need its message. Let’s build a community of rising together.

You can find the video [insert link or platform, e.g., on my YouTube channel, social media, or website] and follow along with the lyrics. If you feel moved, leave a comment or share your own story of breaking down walls—I’d love to hear how this poem speaks to you.

🧭 A Final Note

“You know who you are and you know your mind / Your freedom is no chance, you know your liberty…” These closing lines of the poem are a powerful reminder: Self-love isn’t just a treasure; it’s your birthright. It’s the key to a life where you live authentically, unapologetically, and victoriously.

So, today, I ask you: What’s one small step you can take to fight for yourself? Maybe it’s a moment of kindness, a pause to breathe, or a decision to let go of an old hurt. Whatever it is, know that each step brings you closer to the “symphony of strength” that is your life.

I created a karaoke-style video with verses on screen, so you can read, sing, or speak the poem however it moves you. Let this be your song of reclamation.
